Chickillo, Feeney Leave Steelers Preseason Finale With Injuries

The Pittsburgh Steelers are trailing the Carolina Panthers 12-0 at halftime in their 2016 preseason finale and two defensive players have left the game with injuries.

Injured in the second quarter were young outside linebackers Travis Feeney and Anthony Chickillo. Feeney, a rookie draft pick, left the game with a possible concussion while Chickillo suffered a right foot injury and he is questionable to return to tonight’s game.

Feeney entered the game presumably outside the roster bubble so this injury suffered tonight certainly won’t help his chances of surviving the final cuts on Saturday.

Chickillo missed the team’s second preseason game with an ankle injury and was playing well before leaving Thursday night’s contest.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin will likely provide a full injury update at the conclusion of the game.
