2016 NFL Week 2: Steelers Friday Night Five Questions

Steelers Depot Friday Night Five Questions

Happy Friday to all of you and Happy Bengals week as well.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will have their home opener Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals and it figures to be a doozy of a game at Heinz Field. Personally, I don’t have a great read on this game heading into Saturday and that mostly revolves around the Steelers defense. My concerns are that they’ll have to blitz too much in this game in order to get pressure on Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton and as a result of that, give up a few too many explosive plays. Regardless, this game really should be a great test for the Steelers on both sides of the football as these two teams really should know each other well.

As usually on Friday nights, I have five questions for all of you to answer and I hope several of you will take time to do just that in the comments below.

Please remember that we’ll have live game threads going on Sunday with the first one being posted around 45 minutes prior to kickoff.

Have a great evening and peace and love to all of you. Thank you for visiting the site and Go Steelers!

1 – Which would you rather see happen on Sunday if you had to choose one option: Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green having 100 yards receiving and the Cincinnati running backs registering 65 yards rushing combined, or vice versa?

2 – Which ONE Steelers defensive player has to have an All-Pro-type performance Sunday against the Bengals in order for Pittsburgh to keep the Cincinnati offense under 24 points?

3 – The New York Jets sacked Dalton 7 times last Sunday and still lost the game. How many times MUST the Steelers defense at least need to sack Dalton on Sunday at home in order to win the game?

4 – Assuming wide receivers Sammie Coates, Markus Wheaton and Darrius Heyward-Bey all wind up dressing Sunday against the Bengals, predict the percentage of total offensive snaps each will wind up playing in the game.

5 – Give me a BOLD, yet fathomable, stats prediction for one offensive and one defensive Steelers player for the upcoming game against the Bengals.
