Season 7, Episode 7 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Friday show, Alex Kozora sits in for David Todd and we start things off by going over the few things Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin had to say during his Wednesday press conference.
With the Steelers signing linebacker Vince Williams to a new contract earlier in week, in addition to restructuring the contracts of tackle Marcus Gilbert and safety Mike Mitchell, Alex and I have quite a lot to talk about as it relates to the future of several other players. We lay out all of the contract numbers for you and discuss whether or not guard David DeCastro will get an extension in the coming weeks. We also discuss what the signing of Williams might mean for veteran linebacker Lawrence Timmons.
We also talk about running back Le’Veon Bell and his future status in this show in addition to updating you on tight end Ladarius Green, who remains on the team’s PUP list.
The Steelers will play their third preseason game Friday night against the New Orleans Saints so Alex and I preview that upcoming contest in addition to letting you know several things we look forward to seeing happen with several players, both starters and non-starters.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.
