Season 7, Episode 9 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Wednesday show, David Todd and I start things off by looking at the contract restructure that Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown signed earlier in the day. We go over all of the numbers for you and what it means in terms of a possibly new deal for him after the 2016 season is over.
The Steelers trimmed their active roster down to 75 players on Tuesday and that included tight end Ladarius Green being placed on Reserve/PUP. We talk about what that means for him moving forward into the regular season.
The Steelers will wrap up their 2016 preseason Thursday night against the Carolina Panthers so David and I preview that game along with go over the long list of players who will be held out of action by head coach Mike Tomlin. We tell you who we’ll have our eyes on during that game.
Additionally, David and I discuss seven players who appear to be on the roster bubble heading into Thursday night and also start discussing how the final 53-man roster will likely have quite a bit of shuffling starting late Saturday night.
Linebacker James Harrison had his name cleared on Wednesday as well as it relates to the league’s PED investigation so we make sure to visit that topic briefly.
We end this show by taking a look at a few notable cuts that have transpired around the rest of the NFL over the course of the last few days.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.
