Season 7, Episode 1 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this Monday show, David Todd is back in the main chair following his usual offseason hiatus. We open things up by talking about the culture within the Pittsburgh Steeelers following the offseason news about running back Le’Veon Bell and Martavis Bryant. We talk a lot about Bell from a rehab standpoint as well in addition to talking about his upcoming appeal of his four-game suspension and everything that took place up until that point.
Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown discussed his contract situation on Sunday so David and I talk about that and what the team should do with him between now and the start of the regular season. We also make sure to praise Brown for the way he has handled himself throughout this entire process.
With inside linebackers Lawrence Timmons and Vince Williams both currently not under contract for the 2017 season, David and I discuss whether or not at least one of them will ultimately be re-signed prior to the start of the regular season. We also look at the depth at the inside linebacker position heading into Monday’s training camp practice.
We use the rest of the show to talk about the outside linebacker rotation the defense might use in 2016 and how a few of the training camp roster battles might play out at the running back and wide receiver positions.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.
