The Pittsburgh Steelers signed linebacker Vince Williams to a new contract earlier in the week and the numbers have now hit the NFLPA.
Williams’ originally scheduled 2016 base salary of $675,000 remained the same as part of his two-year extension. Additionally, it’s estimated he was given $2 million base salaries in both 2017 and 2018. Williams also was given a signing bonus of $1.5 million as part of his new deal.
Williams only received $5.5 million in new money as part of his new deal and that certainly isn’t close to being starter money.
Earlier in the offseason the Steelers signed safety Robert Golden to a new $4.95 million contract and it included a $1.25 million signing bonus.
