As expected, Denver Broncos unrestricted free agent tackle Ryan Harris is in town Tuesday visiting with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Harris, who was the Broncos starting left tackle last season, just recently turned 31 years of age. After originally being drafted by the Broncos in 2007 out of Notre Dame, Harris has since played for the Houston Texans and the Kansas City Chiefs before returning to play in Denver last offseason.
Harris is the second unrestricted free agent tackle to visit the Steelers since the start of the new league year as Russell Okung was also in town a few days ago to discuss signing with the team. Okung was reportedly offered a contract during his visit to Pittsburgh and is now mulling over that deal along with ones he has received from the Detroit Lions and New York Giants.
The Steelers are potentially looking at tackles to replace unrestricted free agent Kelvin Beachum, who has visited with the New York Jets and Jacksonville Jaguars over the course of the last several days. Beachum has been the Steelers starting left tackle for the last several seasons.
