After being released by the Miami Dolphins earlier this week, cornerback Brice McCain is now able to get a jump on free agency and he reportedly has a few teams already interested in his services.
According to Jason Cole of Bleacher Report, McCain is scheduled for a visit with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday. Additionally, the Pittsburgh Steelers want to bring McCain in for a visit as well, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, who goes on to say that might not actual happen until March.
The Tennessee Titans are also wanting to bring McCain in for a visit after the scouting combine, according to Rand Getlin.
McCain, who signed a two-year contract with the Dolphins last offseason after playing one season in Pittsburgh, isn’t likely to have many suitors this offseason willing to pay him more than the league minimum. The 29-year-old was originally drafted by the Houston Texans in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL Draft out of Utah.
McCain had a career-high 39 total tackles last season with the Dolphins to go along with one interception.
