The Cincinnati Bengals have now released their final injury report on Friday ahead of Saturday night’s AFC Wild Card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and as expected, quarterback Andy Dalton (thumb) has officially been ruled out.
Dalton, who fractured the thumb on his throwing hand early in the Bengals Week 14 loss to the Steelers, will be one of the team’s seven inactive players Saturday night along with tight end Ryan Hewitt (knee), who was also ruled out on Friday.
With Dalton out, backup quarterback A.J. McCarron will now make his fourth-straight start Saturday night in what figures to be a playoff game that includes rainy and windy conditions.
The only other player on the Bengals final injury report, cornerback Leon Hall (concussion, back), ended the week listed as probably after practicing fully again on Friday.
