Denver Broncos safety T.J. Ward had quite a bit to say about the Pittsburgh Steelers offense earlier in the week but he won’t be on the field Sunday to back it.
Ward, who missed the Broncos game last weekend against the Oakland Raiders with an ankle injury, was ruled out on the Friday injury report after failing to practice all week.
Another Broncos safety, Omar Bolden (hamstring) was also ruled out on Friday along with quarterback Peyton Manning (foot) and linebacker Lerentee McCray (hamstring).
With two safeties out, the Broncos might be forced to play Shiloh Keo Sunday against the Steelers and this could result in the Pittsburgh offense trying to exploit their secondary down the middle of the field in addition to a heavy dose of runs up the middle.
Listed as questionable on the final Friday injury report are running back C.J. Anderson (ankle), linebacker Todd Davis (shoulder), guard Evan Mathis (ankle), safety Darian Stewart (hamstring), wide receiver Andre Caldwell (quadricep), and wide receiver Bennie Fowler (ankle). All six of those players were limited on Friday in practice
Ending the week listed as probable are defensive end Malik Jackson (not injury related), wide receiver Demaryius Thomas (not injury related), safety David Bruton (knee), tight end Owen Daniels (knee, knee), tackle Ryan Harris (knee), running back Ronnie Hillman (foot), wide receiver Cody Latimer (hamstring), wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (finger), linebacker Danny Trevathan (concussion), defensive end Vance Walker (shoulder), linebacker DeMarcus Ware (back), and defensive tackle Sylvester Williams (ankle).
