The Pittsburgh Steelers had an amazing 34-27 comeback win Sunday over the Denver Broncos as their defense pitched an improbable shutout in the second half. With the win, the Steelers will now enter Week 16 as the No. 6 seed in the AFC.
Even though the New York Jets beat the Dallas Cowboys Saturday night, the Steelers jumped them in the standings thanks to them now owning the common games tiebreaker.
In Week 16, the Jets will play the New England Patriots while the Steelers will go on the road to play the Baltimore Ravens.
The Kansas City Chiefs remain the No. 5 seed in the AFC thanks to them beating the Ravens earlier in the day. The Chiefs will play the Cleveland Browns in Week 16.
The Steelers win also prevented the Cincinatti Bengals from clinching the AFC North in Week 15. The Bengals, who beat the San Francisco 49ers Sunday, will play the Broncos in Week 16.
Steelers can clinch a playoff spot next week with a win and a Jets loss.
