The Pittsburgh Steelers fell to 6-5 on the season Sunday with their 39-30 loss to the Seattle Seahawks and as result they will enter Week 13 as the No. 8 seed in the AFC. The snap counts from Sunday’s game have now been compiled and while there aren’t many surprises included in them, there are a few totals worth pointing out.
For starters, running back DeAngelo Williams played all but 4 offensive snaps against the Seahawks. Williams, however, only touched the football 15 times in the game and that includes 8 rushes for 29 yards. Williams’s backup, Jordan Todman, played only one offensive snap on Sunday.
With tight end Heath Miller unable to finish Sunday’s game because of a rib injury, rookie Jesse James had to play more and that resulted in a season-high 40 snaps for him. James will likely continue to dress for the remainder of the season.
Defensively for the Steelers, linebacker Vince Williams played 27 snaps on Sunday after starter Ryan Shazier was forced out the game early with a concussion. He played 3 more snaps than fellow inside linebacker Sean Spence did and that might be because the latter suffered a hamstring late in the game.
Despite making his first career start Sunday, rookie outside linebacker Bud Dupree only played 28 of the team’s 62 defensive snaps against the Seahawks.
