Everyone can now rest easy as Baby Heyward has arrived.
According to a Saturday afternoon post on Twitter by Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Cameron Heyward, his new baby boy has given him permission to play Sunday against the Oakland Raiders.
Heyward said earlier in the week that he was hopeful his baby would be born before or after Sunday as he might be forced to miss the game against the Raiders.
Heyward, who signed a five year contract extension with the Steelers on July 21, 2015, has 27 total tackles so far this season to go along with 3 sacks. He’s also responsible for one pass defensed and a forced fumble.
Heyward married Allie Schwarzwalder in May of 2013. This is the couples first child.
