It’s a big day for Pittsburgh Steelers rookie linebacker Bud Dupree as the team’s first-round draft pick out of Kentucky is expected to get his first NFL start Sunday in the Week 12 game against the Seattle Seahawks, according to Burt Lauten on Twitter.
Dupree is likely to start over outside linebacker Arthur Moats on the left side of the Steelers defense. So far this season, Dupree has registered 19 total tackles and 4 sacks in 376 defensive snaps. He’ll be matched up Sunday against Seahawks right tackle Garry Gilliam, who has struggled quite a bit so far this season.
Dupree will be tasked with setting the left edge on Sunday and forcing running back Thomas Rawls back inside to help on runs to his side of the field. Additionally, Dupree will need to help contain mobile Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson on Sunday.
