Chalk up another milestone for Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger as the veteran signal-caller has now passed former Baltimore Colts quarterback Johnny Unitas on the NFL’s all-time passing yardage list.
Roethlisberger, who entered Sundays game against the Oakland Raiders needing just 9 passing yards to move into 15th place overall, connected with running back DeAngelo Williams in the first quarter to pass Unitas, who played in 211 games during his career. Sunday marks Roethlisberger’s 164th game since being drafted by the Steelers in the first round of the 2004 draft.
Next in Roethlisberger’s sights is another Hall of Fame quarterback in Joe Montana. The Steelers quarterback needs 321 passing yards on Sunday to move into 14th place overall ahead of him.
