If you’re looking to kill some time Saturday morning and want to learn a little bit about the history of the Pittsburgh Steelers, I highly advise that you read the post that Paul Lukas wrote for ESPN.com about the uniforms the team wore in 1966 and 1967.
Lukas, who owns uni-watch.com, does a great job of looking back at the Steelers “Batman” design that featured the “golden triangle” on the head and neck area.
Over the course of the last several seasons, the Steelers have worn throwback uniforms from 1934 in at least one home game so it might be time to retire them once again. I certainly wouldn’t mind seeing them break out the “Batman” uniforms as their throwbacks in the coming years.
