Cincinnati Bengals safety George Iloka was fined just over $23,000 for his illegal hit on Heath Miller last Sunday, the league announced today. According to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, Iloka plans to appeal the fine.
Despite taking the vicious shot, shown below, Miller was able to hang onto the football. It was Iloka’s first fine of the season.
A lot of bad blood was created after the game, each team unhappy with how the other celebrated injuries. Ramon Foster was one of several Steelers to call out Vontaze Burfict’s celebration after Le’Veon Bell’s injury while Marvin Jones called Mike Mitchell “fake tough” after celebrating his injury shortly after.
