During his Wednesday session with the media, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown said that it is in his belief that he’s not getting the football enough with quarterback Mike Vick under center. On Thursday, offensive coordinator Todd Haley responded to those comments.
“Did we win? We did. He’s getting the ball enough,” said Haley, according to Will Graves of the Associated Press.

By the sound of things, Haley is not paying much mind to Brown’s concerns.
Brown said on Wednesday that Vick his playing too conservative and that he needs to trust him more in the passing game even if he is tightly covered.
“He’s got to take some shots,” said Brown. “Trust me a little bit, let me make some plays and let’s get a victory.”
In the two games that Vick has started in place of the injured Ben Roethlisberger, Brown has registered just 8 catches for 87 yards and zero touchdowns on 15 targets, so it’s no wonder why he’s frustrated. Regardless, he has to keep understanding that football is a team sport and that getting a win every week is more important than his stat totals.
It will be interesting to see how things play out on Sunday against the 4-1 Arizona Cardinals and especially being as it looks like wide receiver Martavis Bryant might just make his 2015 debut in that game. Should the Steelers win and Brown plays a big part in that, I’m sure that he won’t have much to say. However, should the Steelers lose and Brown is barely targeted in that game, I have a feeling that Haley might be asked next Thursday to respond to more of his quotes.
