Pouncey had the procedure done at CMC Mercy Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Last week, Ed Bouchette reported Pouncey was set to undergo another surgery after an infection set in. Mike Tomlin indicated during his Tuesday press conference that Pouncey had not had a second surgery but was confident the Pro Bowl center could return by the end of the season.

It is unclear how much longer Pouncey will be out after going under the knife again. Cody Wallace will continue to start at center until he returns.

Pouncey originally suffered his injury during the Steelers preseason game against the Green Bay Packers. He was then placed on the team’s Reserve/Injured list at the start of the regular season with the designated to return tag. That tag means that he must miss the first eight weeks of the season at a minimum.
