The Arizona Cardinals Thursday injury report is now out and includes one new name on it.
Guard Mike Iupati (back) was added to the team’s report on Thursday after failing to practice and this certainly warrants watching. Iupati has already missed three games so far this season due to injuries.
Linebacker LaMarr Woodley (chest) sat out again on Thursday. On Wednesday, however, Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians stated that he thought Woodley would be fine come Sunday.
After sitting out on Wednesday, wide receiver John Brown (hamstring) and safety Tyrann Mathieu (heel) were both able to practice on a limited basis during the Cardinals Thursday session. Like Woodley, both Brown and Mathieu are expected to play Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to Arians.
Cornerback Justin Bethel (foot) and tight end Darren Fells (hip) were both limited once again on Thursday as well.
As for the rest of the Cardinals Thursday injury report, safety Tony Jefferson (neck), safety Rashad Johnson (hip), wide receiver J.J. Nelson (shoulder) and tackle Jared Veldheer (ribs) are all listed as participating fully in practice. Jefferson and Johnson were both limited on Wednesday, so they seem to be moving in the right direction.
The Cardinals are staying and practicing in West Virginia this week after choosing not to travel back to the Arizona following their Sunday game in Detroit.
