The Pittsburgh Steelers started the 2015 regular season with quite a few players on their Reserve/Injured list, but on Tuesday that group of players decreased by one.
According to the Tuesday official NFL transaction release, tight end Cameron Clear has now been waived from the team’s Reserve/Injured list.
Clear, who signed with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M, had a loose piece of bone in his right knee surgically removed during the preseason. He was placed on the team’s Waived/Injured list nearly two weeks ago and subsequently reverted to Reserve/Injured after clearing waivers.
Prior to his knee procedure being performed, Clear played 19 snaps in the preseason opener against the Minnesota Vikings. He caught one pass for 4 yards in that game.
The Steelers Reserve/Injured list now includes 13 players and they are: Shaun Suisham, Clifton Geathers, Eli Rogers, Jordan Zumwalt, Rob Blanchflower, Bruce Gradkowski, David Nelson, Micah Hatchie, Garrett Hartley, Senquez Golson, Ray Hamilton, Mitchell Van Dyk and Kelvin Palmer.
