In news of the weird, the NFL is investigating an alleged incident of Pittsburgh Steelers’ tight ends coach James Daniel assaulting a fan during last night’s game, according to Adam Schefter.
According to ESPN’s report, the incident happened as Daniel was headed to the locker room for halftime. Witnesses say he kicked a fan in the back of the leg and shouted at him. Daniel allegedly also yelled at police officers who met with him in the coaches booth before the start of the third quarter.
Daniel, 62, has been the Steelers’ tight ends coach since 2004.
