The Pittsburgh Steelers made one minor transaction Monday as linebacker Shawn Lemon was waived from the team’s Reserve/PUP list with an injury settlement.
Lemon, who had signed with the Steelers during the offseason after a successful year in the CFL with the Calgary Stampeders, started training camp on the Active PUP list because of an Achilles injury.
Last week, Lemon was waived from Active/PUP and after clearing waivers, he reverted to their Reserve/PUP list.
Last season in the CFL, Lemon recorded 13 sacks and tied the CFL single-season record with eight forced fumbles.
Additionally, undrafted rookie running back Ross Scheuerman cleared waivers Monday and is now on the Steelers Reserve/Injured list as a result of an Achilles injury suffered during Saturday’s practice.
