Pouncey had been dealing with a minor foot sprain and head coach Mike Tomlin announced Sunday that he would likely see his first training camp work of 2015 on Monday.
Now that he has been removed from the Active PUP list, Pouncey is no longer eligible for the Reserve PUP list at the start of the season.
Pouncey, who was drafted by the Steelers in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Florida, is a four-time Pro Bowler and two-time First-Team All-Pro.
With Pouncey now getting back in action, backup center Cody Wallace is expected to start getting some reps at the two guard spots.
With Pouncey now off PUP the Steelers only have three players remaining on that list and they are: tackle Mike Adams (back), quarterback Bruce Gradkowski (shoulder) and cornerback Senquez Golson (shoulder).
