The Pittsburgh Steelers have now released their first depth chart of the 2015 preseason and if you have been following along with all of the training camp updates, you’re probably not too surprised by how head coach Mike Tomlin laid it out.
Several players are likely to miss the upcoming Hall of Fame game against the Minnesota Vikings due to injuries, so quite a few of the second-team players will more than likely start Sunday night. Later in the week, Tomlin will hold his pregame press conference and at that time he should detail which players are likely to miss the game.
While Alejandro Villanueva is listed as the Steelers backup right tackle, it won’t be surprising to see him play left tackle with the second team offense against the Vikings being as Mike Adams is still on PUP with a back injury. In fact, he might very well wind up seeing action at both tackle spots during the game.
