The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently midway through their Monday training camp practice and according to Alex Kozora, linebacker Jarvis Jones and wide receiver Eli Rogers have both left the field apparently with injuries.
Jones, who has been battling a bruised bicep the last few days, walked off with the trainers about 20 minutes ago.
As for Rogers, the Steelers undrafted free agent out of Louisville, he was carted off with an unknown injury, according to Kozora.
Rogers has had a nice start to training camp and that includes him receiving reps as a return man.
Several players are also sitting out the Monday session and they are tight end Matt Spaeth, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, running back Josh Harris, running back DeAngelo Williams, wide receiver Martavis Bryant, wide receiver Markus Wheaton, safety Shamarko Thomas, safety Mike Mitchell, safety Ross Ventrone, linebacker James Harrison, nose tackle Daniel McCullers and guard Ramon Foster.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is expected to update the team’s injury situation at the conclusion of practice.
ETA: Foot sprain for Rogers per Tomlin after practice.
