Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown had a spectacular 2014 season and because of that he’s been named as one of four finalists for the Madden NFL 16 Cover.
Monday, EASports announced that voting is now open for the annual cover of the popular video game. In addition to Brown, New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski and Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson were also named as finalists.
Voting will take place in two rounds, according to the Monday release. First, Madden players will choose between four of the NFL’s best playmakers by playing Madden NFL games. Then the two highest vote-getters will go head-to-head in the finals on May 13 on ESPN.com. First-round voting closes on Monday, May 11, at 3 a.m. ET. The two finalists will be announced on Tuesday, May 12. The winner will be revealed on during the 6 p.m. ET SportsCenter on Wednesday, May 13. To find out how to vote, please see the details listed here.
If you believe in the Madden curse, you might not want to vote for Brown. If that’s the case, you might want to vote for Gronkowski. Last year, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman was on the Madden cover and outside of losing the Super Bowl to the Patriots, he had a solid season.
