Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey isn’t the only veteran player that will have a new number this season as two more have now switched digits.
According to the Steelers official website, everyone’s favorite defensive lineman, Cam Thomas, will now wear No. 93, which was worn previously by linebacker Jason Worilds. Thomas wore No. 93 at North Carolina and we all hope his change in numbers results in much better play.
After Thomas vacated the No. 96, fellow defensive lineman Clifton Geathers decided that he would take it as that is the number he wore at South Carolina. Geathers was signed last season by the Steelers after defensive end Brett Keisel tore his biceps and was placed on injured reserve. He never dressed for a game after he was signed, however.
