New Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Sammie Coates is having a weekend he’s not going to be forgetting anytime soon.
If being drafted by the Steelers in the third-round of the 2015 NFL Draft weren’t enough, Coates also got engaged Saturday.
The 6-foot-1 Coates posted the news on his Instagram account after his girlfriend apparently didn’t turn down his marriage proposal.
Coates, who caught 82 passes for 1,757 yards and 13 touchdowns at Auburn, will only have a week to celebrate the recent double-dose of good news as he and the rest of the Steelers draft picks, undrafted free agents and first-year players will need to be in Pittsburgh next weekend for the team’s rookie minicamp.
