The Pittsburgh Steelers issued restricted tenders to three free agents ahead of the new league year and so far only two of those players, cornerback Antwon Blake and fullback Will Johnson have signed theirs.
That leaves safety Robert Golden as the only restricted free agent that has yet to sign his one-year, $1.542 million tender, but that should change any day now.
According to the CBA, April 24 was the deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets with another team as that would then give the teams that had issued the tenders until April 29 to match.
The CBA also states that the Steelers are now the only team with which Golden may negotiate or sign with for the duration of the 2015 league year unless the tender is pulled.
Golden was originally signed in 2012 by the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona. He has registered 32 total tackles and two forced fumbles during his career and has played just over 100 defensive snaps.
