Peters is the highest-rated player of the trio as he’s expected to be drafted somewhere in the first round. After having issues with two different coaching staffs at Washington, Peters found himself dismissed from the team last season. Steelers defensive backs coach Carnell Lake was recently present for the Washington Pro Day and worked Peters out during the session while there.
Carter, an underclassman out of Stanford, will likely be drafted in either the third or fourth round. His father is a former NFL player.
Valles is an outside linebacker prospect out of Virginia. He recorded 9 sacks last season and forced three fumbles on his way to becoming a Third-Team All-ACC selection.
The Steelers have now had seven players in for visits over the course of the last two days. On Wednesday, Virginia outside linebacker Eli Harold, Utah outside linebacker Nate Orchard, Auburn tight end C.J. Uzomah and Mississippi cornerback Senquez Golson were all in for visits.
