According to his agent, Pittsburgh Steelers free agent linebacker Jason Worilds is retiring from football.
Worilds’ agent, Jason Bernstein passed along the word about his client on Twitter Tuesday evening in a series of tweets.

Worilds, who was drafted by the Steelers in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Virginia Tech, played five seasons in Pittsburgh. He earned $9.754 million last season with the Steelers after being given the transition tag.
Worilds recorded 204 total tackles during his career and 25.5 sacks.
This news comes as a huge surprise and it explains why he hasn’t reportedly made any visits as of yet.
Now that we know that Worilds won’t be playing in 2015, the Steelers might look to sign another 3-4 outside linebacker after re-signing Arthur Moats on Monday. At the time of this post, Brian Orakpo, Jabaal Sheard, Akeem Ayers and Derrick Morgan all remain unsigned. All three reportedly have visits lined up with other teams, however.
