Unless the Pittsburgh Steelers are able to re-sign cornerback Brice McCain over the course of the next five hours, he will become an unrestricted free agent at 4 p.m. EST. Being as the 28 year-old Utah product did play well last season in a limited role, it appears as though he has a few teams interested in signing him.
We’ve already heard that the Philadelphia Eagles might have interest in McCain and now Josina Anderson of ESPN reports Tuesday morning on Twitter that the Minnesota Vikings have expressed preliminary interest in visiting with the Steelers cornerback.

McCain was a street free agent last offseason after being released by the Houston Texans in March. He ultimately signed a one-year contract for the minimum with the Steelers on April 1 and wound up playing in 14 games and starting nine of them.
While McCain is likely best suited to play inside moving forward, he showed last season that he can also give quality snaps outside as well. He registered 25 total regular season tackles with the Steelers last season and three interceptions.
