The Pittsburgh Steelers were informed on Wednesday that they will receive a sixth-round compensatory selection in the 2015 NFL Draft instead of the one in the seventh-round that was previously announced on Monday.
Apparently there was some sort of miscommunication when it came to the awarding of the compensatory picks this year and that’s good news for the Steelers.
While we do not know what the overall pick number will be for the new compensatory pick, it is being reported that it won’t be later than 218th overall.
The seventh-round pick that the Steelers were originally awarded was slated to be the 252nd overall selection.
UPDATE: The pick will be 212th overall.
