Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell Named NFL.com 2014 Fantasy Player Of The Year

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’veon Bell is the 2014 NFL.com 2014 Fantasy Player of the Year presented by SAP, it was announced Saturday night on the “4th Annual NFL Honors” show.

The Fantasy Player of the Year was chosen by a panel of NFL Media analysts and Fantasy Football experts. Bell was also named the FedEx Ground Player of the Year earlier in the night.

Bell, the Steelers second-round selection in the 2013 NFL Draft, registered a franchise record 2,215 yards from scrimmage in 2014 and he scored 11 total touchdowns.

The Michigan State product earned his first Pro Bowl nomination this season but was unable to play in the game last weekend due to a hyperextended right knee that he suffered during the regular season finale. Bell was also named first-team All-Pro in 2014.

Bell joined Walter Payton in 2014 as the only players in NFL history to gain at least 200 yards from scrimmage in three consecutive games.
