The Pittsburgh Steelers might not have to worry about facing Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon in 2015 as the troubled Baylor product is now facing a one-year ban for failing yet another drug test, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Gordon tested positive for alcohol this time.
Gordon, who only played in five games last season due to him serving a suspension, ended 2014 with just 24 catches for 303 yards. He wasn’t allowed to play in the regular-season finale, however, because the Browns suspended him for violating team rules.
It looks like there’s a good chance that this year-long suspension will stick and now the Browns might ultimately decide to rid themselves of Gordon once and for all. Gordon led the NFL in receiving yardage in 2013. While he’s a talented player, it appears that he just can’t keep himself out of trouble.
