Thanks to his nine catch, 117 yard performance Sunday in the 42-21 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown now has 105 catches for 1,375 yards on the season. As long as he stays healthy, he’ll easily set new franchise records in receptions and yardage.
Brown needs just eight more catches to pass former Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward on the all-time single-season franchise reception list. Ward set the record back in 2002. Brown fell two short of that number last season.
Brown also only needs 125 more receiving yards to set a new Steelers single-season receiving yardage record. He currently owns that record thanks to his 1,499 yard season last year.
Brown could also set a new single-season franchise record in touchdown receptions if he catches two more in the Steelers final three games. He needs six more, however, to set a new single-season franchise record in touchdowns scored as former running back Willie Parker scored 16 touchdowns in 2006.
