The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cincinnati Bengals 27-17 Sunday night at Heinz Field to win the AFC North and here is just a little sampling of some winners and losers for you to discuss. Feel free to add your own in the comments below that you think I missed.
Winners:
Antwon Blake – Blake had a huge forced fumble late in the game as he stripped the ball away from Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green after a catch. Blake not only forced the fumble, he also recovered it. The undersized cornerback finished the game with seven tackles.
Antonio Brown – Wow. Brown ended the regular season as the league leader in both receptions and receiving yardage. He scored twice Sunday night with his first touchdown coming via a 71 yard punt return. He finished the game with seven catches for 128 yards and his final touchdown showed why he is the best wide receiver in the game right now.
Will Allen – Filling in once again for the injured Troy Polamalu, Allen recorded seven total tackles in the game with several coming near the line of scrimmage. It wasn’t a perfect night for the veteran, but it may have very well been his best game of the season.
Brice McCain – McCain picked off Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton twice Sunday night and he finished the game with three total tackles.
Losers:
Ramon Foster – You hate to boil things down to one play, but Foster’s holding call in the second half negated a big run by running back Josh Harris.
Dri Archer – Archer whiffed bad on pass protection when he relieved the injured Le’Veon Bell. He also had one carry for a one-yard loss.
Brad Wing – Wing averaged 39.7 yards per punt Sunday night with a long of 42. He also threw an interception on a poorly executed fake punt.
James Harrison – Harrison had his hands full with Bengals left tackle Andrew Whitworth Sunday night and I’m not sure he sniffed Dalton much in the game as a result.
