Steelers Injury Report: Spaeth, Polamalu, Wheaton Sidelined Thursday

The Pittsburgh Steelers have now wrapped up their Thursday practice as they continue to get ready to host the Kansas City Chiefs this coming Sunday and their latest injury report includes one new addition.

Wide receiver Markus Wheaton (illness) failed to practice Thursday because he was sick and thus he was added to the injury report. Also not practicing Thursday were safety Troy Polamalu (knee) and tight end Matt Spaeth (elbow). Both Polamalu and Spaeth finished the game Sunday, so the hope is that both will be ready for the Chiefs game.

Limited once again Thursday was cornerback Ike Taylor (shoulder, forearm). Taylor sat out last Sunday’s game and it’s looking like he might be headed that direction again this week.

Practicing fully Thursday were  cornerback William Gay (not injury related), tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle), linebacker James Harrison (knee), tight end Heath Miller (not injury related), safety Mike Mitchell (groin), center Maurkice Pouncey (ankle) and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (not injury related).
