With running back Le’Veon Bell currently nursing a hyperextended knee, the Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly bringing in free agent running back Ben Tate for a visit Tuesday.
Tate started the season with the Cleveland Browns after signing with them as an unrestricted free agent during the offseason. Tate was waived in the middle of November and was quickly claimed by the Minnesota Vikings. That stay with the Vikings didn’t last long, however, as he was waived by them just a week ago.
Tate has rushed for 371 yards and four touchdowns on 119 carries this season.
In Tate’s last eight games, he’s had 66 carries for 129 yards.
