Season 5, Episode 46 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and David Todd and I get right into talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers bye week, upcoming schedule and the injury situation ahead of the Week 13 game against the New Orleans Saints.
David and I then wrap up some final thoughts on the Steelers win Monday night over the Tennessee Titans and this includes us talking about how good the running game was when guard David DeCastro pulled to the left. We also talk about the Steelers usage of the split-zone run in that game.
We move on to talk about the Steelers deep passing game so far this season and that means we are forced to talk stats and math once again. We think you will enjoy some of these passing numbers that we throw at you from not only the Steelers, but other teams in the league in addition.
The New England Patriots have decided to sign former Steelers running back LeGarrette Blount on Thursday so we make sure to put on our tin foil hats for a little while to talk about how this whole epoiside ended up playing out.
The Steelers promoted running back Josh Harris from the practice squad after Blount was released so we discuss what his role might be over the course of the next few weeks. We also talk about what Blount’s departure could wind meaning for rookie running back Dri Archer in addition.
Being as there won’t be a Friday episode this week, we close out this Thursday special edition of the podcast by giving you our weekly picks of all of the Week 12 games. David’s possessed television also makes an appearance in this episode, so be listening up for that.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here.
