The Pittsburgh Steelers have just announced that they have waived running back LeGarrette Blount.
Blount walked off the field Monday night before the game against the Tennessee Titans was over because he was apparently unhappy with the amount of playing time that he was getting.
The Steelers will now have to decide who they want to backup starter Le’Veon Bell moving forward and that player might just be rookie Josh Harris, who is currently on the practice squad.
While i think this move definitely sends a message, I’m surprised that it happened so quickly. Blount will now be subject to the waiver process and a team will certainly claim him.
