The Cincinnati Bengals will host the Cleveland Browns Thursday night and the game figures to be an entertaining one.
Should the Browns wind up winning the game, they will be tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers for first place in the AFC North at 6-3. The Browns, however, have lost 17 straight AFC North games on the road heading into Thursday night and they’ll have the task of beating the Bengals without tight end Jordan Cameron, who will miss the game with a concussion.
The Bengals, however, will also likely be missing quite a few of their key players Thursday night as linebacker Vontaze Burfict and cornerback Leon Hall have already been ruled out for the game in addition to running back Giovani Bernard, linebacker Rey Maualuga and tackle Andre Smith all being listed as doubtful.
As a Steelers fan, I think you have to root for the Browns in this game as the Bengals certainly need to start acquiring a few divisionally losses. The Steelers would then control their own destiny as far as the AFC North goes and that includes having to play the Bengals twice in the final month of season.
The Bengals are currently favored by six points over the Browns at the time of this post. While I will be rooting hard for the Browns to win this game, I have a funny feeling that the Bengals will blow them out.
What say you?
