Steelers Rookie WR Martavis Bryant Working On His Hand Fighting During Bye Week

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a bye this week, but I thought you would like to know what rookie wide receiver Martavis Bryant is up to during his time off.

According to NFL insider Jay Glazer, Bryant is out in California training with him at the Unbreakable Performance Center. The gym is owned by Glazer and former Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher and is located on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood.

Glazer goes on to say that Bryant will be working on some hand fighting drills over the course of the next two days and then relaxing in their cryotherapy chamber, which is essentially a subzero nitrogen blasting that is an alternative to traditional ice baths. The chamber also reportedly eliminates 900 calories in two minutes.

Glazer is a MMA enthusiast and has worked with and helped train several well-know fighters over the years.

This is certainly great news and it’s good that Bryant is taking his craft seriously. So far this season the Clemson product has caught 16 passes for 321 yards and six touchdowns in the five games that he has played.
