The Pittsburgh Steelers have now released their final injury report for the upcoming game Sunday against the New Orleans Saints and it includes two players being ruled out on it.
Cornerback Cortez Allen (thumb) and nose tackle Steve McLendon (shoulder) will both miss Sunday’s game. Allen is still recovering from having pins inserted into his thumb after breaking it in practice just prior to the week 12 game against the Tennessee Titans.
With McLendon out, there’s a chance that rookie Daniel McCullers will make his second start of the season on Sunday. McLendon is still battling a shoulder injury and this will mark the fourth game he’s missed this season.
Linebacker Ryan Shazier (ankle) and tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) both end the week as questionable. Gilbert injured himself during Wednesdays practice and there’s a good chance Mike Adams starts in his place Sunday against the Saints.
Ending the week listed as probable are cornerback Ike Taylor (forearm), safety Shamarko Thomas (hamstring), wide receiver Martavis Bryant (illness), defensive end Brett Keisel (not injury related), tight end Heath Miller (not injury related) and safety Troy Polamalu (not injury related).
