The Pittsburgh Steelers have wrapped up their Friday practice and they will now prepare to travel to New Jersey to play the New York Jets Sunday at MetLife Stadium. The final injury report of the week is now out and five players are listed out for the game.
Ruled out are cornerback Ike Taylor (forearm), safety Shamarko Thomas (hamstring), safety Troy Polamalu (knee), linebacker Ryan Shazier (ankle) and safety Ross Ventrone (hamstring).
With three of those players being safeties, you can probably expect to see Jordan Dangerfield promoted from the practice squad sometime Saturday. Also, Will Allen will start Sunday in place of Polamalu.
Listed as probable on Friday are linebacker Jason Worilds (abdomen), safety Mike Mitchell (not injury related), tight end Heath Miller (not injury related), defensive end Brett Keisel (not injury related), defensive end Cameron Heyward (not injury related), and center Maurkice Pouncey (not injury related).
Wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey (hamstring) was also added to the injury report Friday as probable.
