According to David Lariviere of Forbes.com, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has signed an endorsement deal with BioRhythm, the sports supplement company announced Thursday in a press release.
“We are excited to welcome Antonio to our team, he exemplifies the kind of skilled athlete with a strong personal character that we want to be associated with,” stated the company’s CEO Anthony Razzano. “Brown’s drive to deliver quality on the field mirrors BioRhythm’s dedication to producing quality products in an industry in desperate need for it.”
“BioRhythm was a perfect fit for me as I can relate to the company’s attention to detail when producing its products to a very dedicated fan base, detail is a key to my success on the football field,” Brown said. “I’m excited to be a part of the Biorhythm family. Their products for muscle gain and major recovery will aid in my productivity going forward both on and off the field.”
BioRhythm products are reportedly sold in more than 1,600 GNC stores nationally as well as hundreds of other health stores.
Even though Brown has had a solid career so far, it seems like he has struggled to get endorsement deals. In July of this year, Brown left Jay Z’s Roc Nation and went back to his old agent Drew Rosenhaus and this is really the only endorsement deal that I remember the former sixth-round draft pick getting since all of that took place. Maybe there are smaller ones on a more local level that I’m unaware of.
Brown seems like he would be easy to market with that smile of his and he’s very recognizable to boot. Perhaps after this season he will be more sought after on a national level. regardless, it’s good see a player like him profit from his work outside of football. He deserves it.
