Below are the initial player snap counts from the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday win over the Indianapolis Colts, according to the NFL official gamebook. We will see if any of these differ in our weekly game charting as the week progresses.
As far as the offense goes, rookie wide receiver Martavis Bryant played a total of 32 plays after playing just over 20 last week. Fellow rookie Dri Archer only saw the field for one snap and he proceeded to drop a short screen pass on that play. Archer also failed to see the field on special teams against the Colts.
Defensively for the Steelers, rookies Stephon Tuitt and Daniel McCullers logged 23 and 4 snaps on respectively. Tuitt did not register any tackles in the game wil McCullers was credited with a solo tackle on a run play to his left. You can tell that the Steelers used their nickel defense quite a bit against the Colts based on the amount of snaps played by both Cam Thomas and McCullers combined.
