Steelers Suffer Few Injuries In Win Over Colts

Not only did the Pittsburgh Steelers get a well-deserved win Sunday night over the Indianapolis Colts, they also got out of the game relatively injury free as head coach Mike Tomlin only named two players as being injured Sunday during his post game press conference.

According to Tomlin, running back Le’Veon Bell (ankle) suffered a right ankle injury during the game but noted that he was able to return and finish.

Also injured in the game was backup safety Ross Ventrone (hamstring). Ventrone never returned to the game after leaving and Tomlin said he will be further evaluated.

The Steelers were without nose tackle Steve McLendon (shoulder), cornerback Ike Taylor (forearm), tackle Marcus Gilbert (concussion) and safety Shamarko Thomas (hamstring) Sunday as all four players were pregame inactives. The team hopes to get McLendon, Gilbert and Thomas back next week for their home game against the Baltimore Ravens.
