When the Pittsburgh Steelers play the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday at EverBank Field, they will once again be without three starters on the defensive side of the football but will get one starter back on the offensive side.
Not practicing on Friday and ruled out for the Jaguars game are linebacker Ryan Shazier (knee) and cornerback Ike Taylor (forearm). With Shazier out, second-year linebacker Sean Spence is expected to make his second-straight start. Veteran William Gay will start once again in place of Taylor at the right cornerback spot.
Several players are listed as probable for the Jaguars game on the Friday injury report and that list includes quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (not injury related), wide receiver Markus Wheaton (groin), wide receiver Martavis Bryant (illness), guard Ramon Foster (ankle), tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle), linebacker James Harrison (illness), defensive end Brett Keisel (not injury related), tight end Heath Miller (not injury related), safety Michael Mitchell (not injury related) and safety Troy Polamalu (not injury related).
Foster is expected to return to the starting lineup Sunday against the Jaguars after missing the last two games with an ankle injury. Wheaton, who was limited earlier in the week with a groin injury, also expects to play Sunday without any limitations.
